This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • Highly Recommend a 2007 Santa Fe SE AWD - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Bought used w/ 30K miles. Having driven 10K miles in 6 mos., I have only good things to say (except about the headlights, which are too dim). Pre- & Post-purchase research revealed that: 1) only the bigger engine has a timing chain, not a belt; 2) tow package includes a transmission cooler & high- capacity radiator, & the tow bar wraps under the exhaust pipes to protect them; 3) the 18 in. Tires provide better handling and road feel than the 16 in. Tires; 4) the 3rd row has its own ac controls, which helps appease children who have to sit there; 5) only the awd version has the nice brushed-aluminum dual-exhaust tips; & 6) the Santa Fe shares an assembly line w/ the sonata, but has its own platform

  • A lot more than I expected - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have been a GM guy my whole lfe. My last ride was an 03 Avalanche. Not a very reliable vehicle. I had not expected to buy a Hyundai, however when I saw it, and then drove it, I was sold. I test drove an Acura RDX, a Murano, a Lexus, a Honda, a Torrent, 2 Toyotas. Not one of them fit my most basic needs, room for 4 sets of golf clubs, a good stereo, and a good looking vehicle. All for a reasonable (not cheap) price. The Sante Fe fit the bill. So far (600 miles, 2 weeks) I am still surprised by it. Gas mileage of 22+, and it looks like its only getting better. Hopefully all of the good things I have been reading about Hyundais overall quality improvement will hold true.

  • So far, So Good! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just picked up my 07 SF Limited 5/31. Just about 600 miles. The interior design is what won me over and rave reviews from all that has seen it. At 59 the headroom is fine for me. Alot of vehicle for the money compared to Ford Edge, Mazada CX7, and Murano and way better style size and interior standard features than RAV4 (which my wife drives a 07 bought in Feb. 07) and CRV. SF has a firm positive ride feel to it. Seems like a much larger and heavier vehicle when driving but being very responsive and sure footed. The power isnt the best in class, but it will get out of its way very easily and smoothly. Unbelievable quiet ride. To sum up, so far very pleased and happy.

  • Great Car! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I cant tell you how many times my Santa Fe has been confused for the Lexus RX 350. In fact I work at a Lexus dealership and have driven the RX 350. I would put it in the same comfort and drive-ability category as the Santa Fe.

  • Outstanding Vehicle - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

We purchased a GLS 2.7 liter V6 model 2 weeks ago and Ive never so enjoyed a new vehicle as much as this. It is the most comfortable, quiet, well-built, and generously appointed car in the way of standard features that Ive ever owned(ESC, 4-wheel disc antilock, outstanding sound system, beautiful interior, very roomy, and very nice interior features and storage). It handles very well. Steering is very responsive with no slop and no body sway. Also getting 21 MPG city. Havent done a trip yet to verify highway but its rated at 27 highway which is pretty darn good for a 6. Its also built in Alabama so Hyundai is providing US jobs as well. This is a well-built car built in America.

  • This Car Has Issues! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The car looks great, but it might be overrated. I have only had my car for less than a month and I have to bring it in a second time for the engine light. The dealer keeps telling me its not a problem, and then adds 40 miles to my car before giving it back. Towne Hyundai has a terrible service department. They pretty much told me to ignore the light unless it turns on again, and its on again. Plus now when I drive it that smooth new car feeling is gone already. You can feel the car shifting into gear. Too bad they wont call me back to fix it.

  • A lot of value in a sharp package. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

A sharp design: bold yet flowing exterior combined with nice quality touches inside as well. Cruises on highway with little engine effort or noise. Feels stable and sure footed with standard electronic stability control and traction control. Only downside I find are that seats are a bit firm to my liking.

  • Hyundai is a hidden GEM (MORE FOR $$$) - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Own a Fully loaded Honda Oddysey and a Toy Matrix... We did not enjoy the Matrix... we did enjoy the resale value. We looked at everything... Honda Pilot, 4-Runner, CX7, CX9, Kia Sorento... then in the car area we almost settled on a pre-owned(10k) Infiniti G35 but we have 3 kids so we were looking for blend of what our Oddysey and our Matrix gave us... Plenty of space inside for trips and modern functionality in a cool package When we drove the Santa Fe we fell in love and knew it... not only is the car briliantly engineered inside and out... The build quality is visible everywhere..hence the 5 star rating. This is truly a unique vehicle with the entirety of its features/warranty

  • 2007 Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I enjoy my 2007 Santa Fe alot better than my 2003 Jeep Liberty. The design of all the interior storage was a huge selling point for me. I also like the look of the interior, it is so much nicer than the Liberty. I agree with one of the other people about some more goodies being added to this model.

  • Silky Smooth Santa Fe! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

We recently purchased a 2007 Santa Fe Limited to replace our Toyota Camry and my wife absolutely love it. We had spent almost ten months of research test driving almost everything from Accord, Camry, Sonata, Highlander, Rav4, CR- V, Explorer, Escape, etc. The ride is silky smooth and is very quiet. Quality touches abound throughout and we are also impressed by how well it absorbs road imperfections and the comfortable leather seats. My wife really enjoys all the saftey features that come standard and the oodles of storage space that this SUV has. So far average fuel economy is 22 mpg. This vehicle is miles ahead of the Rav4. Well done Hyundai.
